No one likes paying an annual fee to use their credit card, and there will always be some people that refuse to apply for any card that has an annual fee. Others simply don’t want to consider another card with an annual fee, since they’re already paying a fee to use one or more of their existing cards. Thankfully, there are several compelling travel rewards cards that are available without an annual fee.

Bank of America® Travel Rewards credit card

This card offers you unlimited 1.5 points per dollar spent on all purchases, with no annual fee and no foreign transaction fees. New applicants receive 25,000 bonus points, worth a $250 statement credit toward travel purchases, after making $1,000 in new purchases within 90 days of account opening. Other features include a 10% points bonus when you have an active Bank of America® checking or savings account.

Hilton Honors American Express Card

This hotel rewards card offers new applicants 75,000 Hilton Honors Bonus Points after making $1,000 in eligible purchases within three months of account opening. It offers 7X Hilton Honors Bonus Points at Hilton Honors portfolio of brands, 5X points for eligible purchases at U.S. restaurants, U.S. supermarkets, and U.S. gas stations, and 3X on all other eligible purchases. You receive complimentary Hilton Honors Silver status, and can upgrade to Gold when you spend $20,000 on your card in a calendar year. There are no foreign transaction fees for this card.

Blue Delta SkyMiles® Credit Card from American Express

This entry-level Delta SkyMiles card offers new applicants 10,000 bonus miles after spending $500 in new purchases within three months of account opening. It also offers you double miles not just on Delta purchases, but also at US restaurants. Other benefits include a 20% In-Flight Savings in the form of a statement credit after you use your Card on eligible Delta in-flight purchases of food, beverages, and audio headsets.

American Airlines AAdvantage MileUp card

This card offers new accounts 10,000 bonus miles and a $50 statement credit after making $500 in new purchases within three months of account opening. It also features 2x miles at grocery stores, including delivery services, and on all eligible American Airlines purchases. Benefits include a 25% savings on inflight food and beverage purchases when you use your card on American Airlines flights.

The Blue Business Plus Credit Card from American Express

Small business owners can earn a large number of American Express Membership Rewards points each year, without having to pay an annual fee. You earn 2x points on everyday business purchases on your first $50,000 spent each year, and one point per dollar after that.  Membership Rewards points can be transferred to 16 airline partners or redeemed for travel reservations, gift cards and other options.
