bmibaby now has a new unaccompanied minor scheme call Club Solo 7215, that permits children aged 7 to 15 years inclusive to travel unaccompanied on the airline’s flights.  The new service will be available from all airports served by bmibaby.  This is especially handy for families, especially for those who have children in residential schools abroad, or who need to visit family.

Reservations can be made through the bmibaby call centre and once a booking has been made, the parents or legal guardian can simply take the child to the airport and check in.  The child will then be escorted through security by a member of staff and taken on to the aircraft.  The crew will ensure the child is looked after during the flight. Upon arrival at the destination the child will be escorted through security and baggage reclaim to be met by a pre-registered adult.
