Frontier Airlines is expanding out of Raleigh (RDU) once again. New nonstop flights to Miami (MIA) and Atlanta (ATL) begin this fall. Intro fares are available from $57 roundtrip.

Frontier Adds New Nonstop Flights from Raleigh to Atlanta and Miami

By adding these two new cities, Frontier Airlines increases its number of destinations from Raleigh to 22. The new routes begin November 14, 2019, and both will have daily service, which is rare for Frontier Airlines. Direct competition between Atlanta and Raleigh is offered on Delta and Southwest, and American provides direct competition on the Miami route. Delta, Southwest, Spirit, and JetBlue provide competition with nonstop service to nearby Ft. Lauderdale (FLL).

All of these routes will likely see even lower prices thanks to the added competition. Sign up for free fare alerts to find out when prices drop.

Travel Availability

Intro fares are available for travel on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, from November 19, 2019 - February 12, 2020.

There are blackout dates listed from November 22 - Dec. 2; Dec. 20, 2019 - January 6, 2020, and January 17 - 20, 2020.

Sale Period

Intro fares are advertised to expire at 11:59 pm ET, August 7, 2019.

Seat Assignments

Seats will be assigned at random upon check-in for these prices. You may pay a fee to choose a specific seat.

Alternate Fares

Discount Den member fares are slightly less. Membership costs $59.99/year and comes with a few other perks. Frontier also offers the Works bundle, which can be added to any flight during the initial booking. It includes a standard carry-on bag plus a personal item, one free checked bag, seat selection (including stretch seating), priority boarding, flight flexibility, and refundability. This is a value if you want all of these amenities, but chances are you can get away with just adding what you need a la carte for cheaper.
