Save even more if you travel with a checked bag. Scandinavian Airlines sells a fare that includes one free checked bag for about $55 more roundtrip than the lowest available hand-luggage only fare. Compare that with the $120-$160 extra that other major carriers usually charge for a standard Economy fare and you'll save big if you prefer to purchase a classic Economy ticket.
Travel Availability
Below are the advertised rules for this sale, however, most routes only have the lowest fares available through the end of May. Travel dates in early June are mostly available from Newark only.
- Travel Period: November 1, 2019 - June 10, 2020.
- Outbound Blackout Dates: December 19, 2019 - January 5, 2020.
- Minimum Stay: A Saturday night stay is required.
Departure days will vary by city pair as SAS doesn't operate every route on a daily basis. Itineraries from Boston are only available November 1 - 21, 2019, and again from April 20 - May 31, 2020. Flights from Miami are operated on limited days of the week.

Baggage
These prices are for SAS Go Light fares, which only include a carry-on bag (up to 18 lbs.) plus a small personal item. Checked bag fees for Go Light fares are $60 each way. If you need to check a bag, it's much cheaper to purchase the next level Go Smart fare for around $28 more each way ($55 roundtrip). Go Smart fares include one free checked bag.
Seat Assignments
You may choose your own assignments from standard economy class seats that are still available during or after booking. Both Go Light and Go Smart fares have limited free seat selection in the back of the plane.
Alternate Fares
Go Smart fares will cost an extra $55 roundtrip and will include one free checked bag. This is a much cheaper option than adding a checked bag to the Go Light fare à la carte.
There are several destinations in Scandinavia on sale. Search for some super deals to places like Helsinki (HEL), Bergen (BGO), Aarhus (AAR), Gothenburg (GOT), and more. Flights to other destinations throughout Europe are also on sale by SAS, but you may find connections to European destinations outside Scandinavia to require an overnight layover on the return flight.
If you want to visit multiple cities in Europe, this sale can be a great opportunity to book an open-jaw itinerary by flying into one city and back from another, since it's such a widespread deal covering several European cities.
